Janome Social Sewing

Now with over 60 members, the Janome owners club in the

South East of Kent is the first group of its kind in the United

Kingdom and has now inspired Janome UK to set up regional

clubs up and down the country. The group meet once a month alternately at Aldington

or Littlebourne and embark on individial or group projects.

Like minded members are happy to share knowledge & pass on skills in Sewing,

Embroidery, Quilting, Dressmaking and Craft to anyone in the J-Club.  A new

member is invited to support Cathy (our illustrious leader!) and lead a workshop every

month, and all members are encouraged to participate in the inspiring show & tell

towards the end of the meeting.

Each meeting is supported by Ashford Sewing Centre who supply a large selection

of Haberdashery, onsite expertise and any aftersales service you require.

Guest invites are often sent out to other experts in the field and frequent attendee's

include The Fabric Fairy, Rose N'Tony's & representitives from Janome UK.

All members are entiltled to 10% discount at Ashford Sewing Centre*

If you would like to join please 'contact us' for further details.

Where it all began.....

'When I first purchased my first MC6000 30 years ago, I never imagined
it’s consequences! As Janome sewing machines have developed over the years
in keeping with modern technology, I realised that there was a need for Janome
owners to come together to share knowledge and developed techniques to maximise
the capabilities that Janome machines present to owners. From the first meeting
4 years ago, with only 4 members, membership has rapidly increased. The group
consists of many talented individuals and we are so lucky tohave the constant
support of Jim Symes and Kevin Webb from the Ashford Sewing Centre.'
