Wow–I am so proud of you! The website is great. I can’t believe how fast you managed to get everything sorted out. I wish I could come and spend a few days in your sewing cafe, it sounds like a wonderful place to hang out. Good Luck the tribe is with you in our thoughts at least and I know we’d all be there in person if we could make it happen!
Be glad you’re not here – you wouldn’t be sewing – I’d put you to work!
As one of your 50 year old American friends and a fellow seamstress, I am extremely proud and jealous at the same time. You will be a blast to craft/sew with. I just wish I could be there in person to give you a big hug and hearty congratulations. I hope parents and grandparents take the opportunity to bring their kids in to learn how to sew and or craft. I am so very glad I know how to sew. Some days I think it’s becoming a “lost art”. Places like yours will help remind people how fun and rewarding it is to create your own clothing, curtains, etc…HAVE FUN, girlfriend. Love ya.
I’ve received that hug, Barb, thanks! We were so lucky, I guess, being taught how to sew in school. Remember when the guys had to make bath robes and then model them? It’s definately great to create and there are some excited girls here who can’t wait to get their hands on a machine.
Hi I popped in to sneak a peek yesterday and left my card with you (Poppykins) The shop looked fabulous and I look forward to regular visits for fabric top ups. Although my husband having a shop opposite may become a problem as he will moan at me. . If you are interested I would love to display some of my things in your shop, if you have a look on my page on Facebook I regularly add things. Anyway I hope you do well with the business and I will be spreading the word for you. Sam
Thanks, Samantha!
As soon as I get a minute I’ll have a look at your site – and eat and feed the cat! I’m up to my eyeballs! However, it’s very exciting and I’m enjoying it. See you soon!
Hi
I would be interested in the dressmaking/alterations classes mentioned on the 2012 Schedule page – I could only make evenings though!
Thanks for the feedback, Louise. It’s really helpful for our planning.
Hello, I’ve sent you various random emails this morning (!) but now I’ve had a proper look at the website I’d like to book a space on Sat 3rd Dec with my little girl please!
That’s great, Debbie, we’ll see you then!
I am ‘sew’ enjoying the beginners patchwork and quilting. I have learnt so much already, you are very inspiring, in fact I have dug out my old machine given it a clean and replaced the needle as you instructed and am now practicing on on all my scrap fabrics. It’s magic!!
That’s great! The practice will really pay off when you come back Thursday to quilt the table runner. Well done!
Hi Angie
I am your cousin. My mother is Dianne and she spend summers with your mom on the farm. We live in Oregon and Debbie and I have been writing to each other for almost 40 years. So she shared your website with me.
I love it. I am a quilter, crafter, knitter, felter, you name it I have tried it.
Just want to say how much I wish your shop was in my town. We do have a yarn shop and are thankful everyday for that. (John Day-population 2,000)
Just wants to give a two thumbs up to you and your business and say I am so proud. Love to hear someone following their dreams.
Good luck and happy stitching, knitting, felting….
Debbie
Hi Deb! Yes, my Debbie has sent me pictures of some of your projects. You are so much more patient with your quilting – I saw the one you quilted by hand. Thanks for the thumbs up. Great to hear from you! I know how you feel about having supplies available locally – that’s what motivated me to open the shop – all the mistakes I made ordering fabric via internet. You’ve got to see it & touch it to know if it’s right. Take care, Deb.

Sometimes I just come on your website to see your smiling face.
The shop looks great. So happy for my little sister!
Ahhh…love you! I know you don’t do Facebook, Deb, if you did youd see a lot more of what’s going on at the shop there.
She will be here tomorrow. I will show her your Facebook page.
You are a busy,happy girl, aren’t you!

I would very much like to attend an alterations class preferably of a weekend.
This is something one of the tutors, Joldine, is considering if we get enough interest. So, thank you, I will add your name and details to our list and keep you informed.
